Just what I needed...
One of the best and most insightful books I've ever read. The writing is a bit disorganized...it's kind of like listening to your really drunk or high buddy tell you about the rock opera he's going to write, but in this case your buddy really has a kick a** opera in his head, he's just too high to explain it coherently.
What I mean is that this guy really has a handle on what fear is and how to conquer it. He's the type of person I would absolutely trust with my life as a skydiving instructor, and I could easily count on him as a mentor or sensei when it comes to dealing with needless fears...
But the book seems to wander a bit...with a good editor the message could be a lot clearer and more coherent. It almost seems like a transcript of a seminar, like Frogs Into Princes. Not super organized or well structured, but man, the ideas and concepts are fantastic.
No matter what, read it. Live by it. Learning to manage fear is what makes the difference between regular people and the people everyone elevates as extraordinary. The key to living your life FOR REAL is in this book. Get it. Now.

Sooo Good!
I bought this book because people said it helped with getting over door fear (in skydiving).
It applies to everyday life and helps you learn how to stop fear from holding you back. I highly recommend this book for everyone!

Life-changing exceptionally good book not just for Skydivers
When I started this book I thought it was more about Skydivers, I soon learned it was a deep dive in the psychology of fear. I have shared this book with many of my friends & family, because as I read it I could see how fear had shaped and altered all of their lives. Brian Germain is a very subtle but exceptional psychologist, but he speaks about fear from direct experience as an adventure seeking young man. EXCELLENT!

Enjoying this book!
Just started this book, but really like the author's view on life and meeting problems and fears "head on". Great reading for a "twenty something" young person looking at the challenges ahead for them in this competitive job market. As a skydiver, I love what he is saying about the negative effects of fear and how to control them. 5 Stars!!!

A really good book
I've never spent so much time re-reading words or entire paragraphs like I did with this book. I've never highlighted so many paragraphs and/or sent them to friends via texts. I really do feel this book is amazing and it can actually make a change in anyone who gives it a chance.
I loved it and I can see that I am starting to change.
Thanks Brian for a great book!

GREAT book for skydivers and non-skydivers alike
What an engaging, useful, insightful book. Loved, loved, loved it. I used to skydive so much of the content was relevant to me, but you do not have to be a skydiver to find enormous value in this book. There is actually very few skydiving references.
It is an absolute must read for anyone participating in extreme sports or just for life in general - we ALL have fears of some sort at some point... stage fright, heights, spiders, flying... This book really helps one embrace fear and use it as a tool to become a better more enlightened human being. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Amazing Book!!
This must be one of the best books I have ever read. If you are looking for the new perspective on fear, and life in general, in a way that is constructive and interesting, this is the book. The dynamic between reader and writer is synergistic and educational. A must have.

Learned a lot!
I got this book because it was written by a skydiver about skydiving, or so I thought. I was surprised to learn so much about our fear response and how the author uses it to make his life better. I have been working on implementing some of the strategies he uses into my own life. I enjoyed the book and learned a lot at the same time.

Impressive and inspiring!!!
I was completely in awe of this well-written piece of work. I couldn't put this down. Brian Germain touches on not just the ways of transcending fear, but also the ways in which we could live life in complete harmony and joy. Brilliant! A must read.
